Arnica has creeping rhizomes and erect stems with yellow, daisy like flowers in summer. The toxic flowers contain compounds that stimulate circulation and reduce inflammation. An ointment or a tincture is applied externally for bruises, sprains, and muscular and rheumatic pain. Arnica stimulates the immune system.
